Kuppalli is located in Shimoga District of Karnataka. It is about 16 km from Tirthahalli.
Kuppalli is famous as the ancestral house of Kuvempu, an extra-ordinary poet, novelist and scholar in Kannada literature. This house has been converted into a museum with a library, auditorium and research center. The backdrop of thick evergreen forests makes this place even more attractive. Kavishila is situated in the vicinity.
